Mediterranean Estate

The client had a soft, minimalist aesthetic. She wanted her landscape to reference the landscapes of Provence, dominated by olive trees, lavender, and rosemary. Bees love lavender and rosemary, but this client was allergic to bees. The solution was to go with olive trees and substitute the swaths of Lavender found in Provence with swaths of white Meidiland roses. The olive trees in conjunction with the roses, succulents, grasses, a few sages, stone work and some beautiful pottery, created a landscape that is clean, romantic, low in bee activity and captures the spirit of Provence.
